We know how stressful it is to find someone you can trust with your four legged counterparts.
Our motto is: "When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal, I see a living being, I see a friend, I feel a soul."
We are proud to say we are also owned by five horses, three cats, a border collie, an australian shepherd and one feisty hermit crab.
It all started in 2005, when we began helping out at a farm in exchange for board for our senior horse. The barn owner had come from a large Hunter show barn and training facility in Hunt Valley, MD; we were fortunate to have her pass much of her knowledge on to us.
We assisted with feeding, turn out and barn duties for ten horses. No two days were ever alike; we dealt with colic, both minor and serious injuries, and lots of behavioral issues. We learned how to check temperatures, administer injections & medications, bandage legs, give wormer; make poultices-you name it, we did it! We also became pretty efficient at identifying lameness and colic. There were a variety of breeds in the herd, including an Arabian, a draft, several ponies and quarter horses.
We always practice safety first in every situation. We have an emergency plan along with a first aid kit to deal with just about everything imaginable.
Our herd has grown to five of our own horses -a thoroughbred, an arabian, two quarter horses and a paint. We have studied the practices of and worked with Parelli ,Buck Brannaman, Carolyn Resnick, Melisa Pearce, Anna Twinney, Jenny Pearce and Dutch Henry to become the best we can when communicating with horses.
We are proud to add several services to our full list:
We can also help with parasite management, nutrition programs, muscle testing, and acupressure.
And of course, we also provide love and care for all breeds of dogs, cats, and most small animals.
